Flu & Covid Vaccine Booster Clinics starting for Patients Over 80 years at end of April 2025 - CLINIC DATES COMING SOON - we will text all patients over 80 when clinics are set up.
We will call patients age 80 years as they are the cohort who are to receive this booster in Spring 2025.
***ONE BOOKING SLOT IS REQUIRED PER PERSON***
As clinics fill up more dates will be added.
We will be offering only the covid booster at these clinics, all patients over 80 years are eligible for the Covid Vaccine Spring Booster as long as it is 6 months since their last injection/ infection with Covid 19.
Patients age 70-79 are eligible to receive this booster vaccine if they didn’t receive the 2024 Autumn booster.
2025/26 Flu vaccines will not be available until end of September 2025

You must leave 6 months between your last covid vaccine dose or infection and this booster vaccine. We are calling patients over 80 years.
Please Wear Short Sleeves or a Loose Shirt/Blouse on the Day - Vaccine is to the Upper Arm/Shoulder.
The Adapted Covid Vaccine Booster helps your body to produce antibodies to the Sars-CoV-2 virus that causes covid-19, it also specifically targets the Omicron Variant.
It will greatly reduce your risk of severe illness or death should you contract Covid and should also reduce your risk of contracting Covid.
Vaccination takes 5 minutes, but NIAC recommend that you wait for 15 minutes after vaccination, if you have ever had an allergic reaction we may need to observe you afterwards.
POTENTIAL EFFECTS OF THE ADAPTED COVID VACCINE
The side effects of the adapted vaccines are similar to the previous vaccines and these include sore arm, headaches, fevers, temporary tiredness as well as muscle aches and pains, nausea and rarely bells palsy. Please see HERE for more information.
If these POTENTIAL side effects do occur, they usually start within hours and should settle within 2 days of the of the vaccine being administered. If you are affected, take paracetamol and contact us if your side effects are significantly affecting you.
